A question about my 1st Moleskine...

Saffy lords over my new Moleskine. It's so nice and new... I do have one question, though. I got this kind of Moleskine:

WATERCOLOUR NOTEBOOK
The portable atelier for painting and drawing.
Heavy paper, 200 gsm – 25% cotton fiber – cold pressed, identical on the both sides, specially created for Moleskine.
Pocket: 60 pages. Large: 72 pages.

What do you all think? I love it, but, if it's not keeping with the true mission of the exchange, I'll go and get the standard Japanese fold version.

I bought it and then thought, "Hmm... was there a guideline related to this?" So, I looked back at the email and there was. I thought this would be the best place to post about this to see what everyone thought.

My feeling is that even though the Moly Exchange groups use the Japanese molies, I am open to interpretation! It is "your" moly Meg, so you get to decide what it looks like (at least while it is in your hands, ;-) hehehe) It will be fun to have a different size moly traveling through our group.

I'll go ahead and stick my nose in where it wasn't invited. Pray that doesn't scratch at it.

Of course the style of book is your choice. The Japanese fold is recommended because it naturally encourages artists to mingle images with one another.

"stick your nose" in any time Marty!!! You are always welcome here! =D (For those of you who have not met Marty, he is one of the founding fathers of the Moly_x_group. He is also the person who was SO HELPFUL to me and others in starting up our groups. BIG CHEER for Marty!!!)

You are right, it is a natural format for artists to blend their work with the other artists work. I see that as I work on my pages for the other group I am in. However, Meg if you wish to use the watercolor Moleskine then we will work around it, or if you have a suggestion as to how you want us to format our pages so that they flow nicely please let us know. We can accommodate. ;)

Hmmm... I think I will ponder this a little. I still have some time and it's not as if the watercolor 'skine won't get used. It's soooo lovely.

I'm getting a little illustration paycheck soon, so, mayhaps I'll go get another. We shall see...

Thanks, everyone.

Hi, Meg!
We have six sketchbooks in this exchange, so I, for one, certainly don't mind the variety. We will have plenty of opportunity for mingling our art in the other five sketchbooks, so if you want to use this one, I am fine with that. I think it would be nice to have the contrast anyway . . .
