Living With Lisa's Moly.

Lisa was one of my first online buddies, so I was very excited to receive her moly from Robert last week. I've admired her work for a long time, I think since I saw her Nutcracker Christmas card of a few years past. Let me tell you people, looking at it online is nothing like seeing it in person. There are so many layers of color and fantastic ink work. Robert's work is just as impressive! I can't paint my kids at all, let alone with watercolor in a slick little moly.

It's been sitting up on my shelf, safe from little hands, lonely and forlorn, wondering if I was ever going to get over my idiotic fear. Sigh. The scary thing is I had an idea right away, but I didn't want to screw it up. Today I had a break between kids and design work and decided it was time. I'm not sure if I'm happy with it and since I have time, I'm going to live with it for a bit, but here it is — natural man-made container. I'm a dork, aren't I?

Karen I love it! And ditto to the on-line buddy...you were one of my first as well and I am greatful that we have continued the friendship. I look forward to seeing your work sitting in my hands as well!

Great work! I love the shadow. It's a great idea, too! Your photo of the picture is very good. I need to work on that since these pages are hard to get on the scanner.

I agree with you about having these in hand; online viewing of these hasn't done justice to any of the journals I've had yet. Wait until you see the next one... it's amazing.
